Smile Studio Dental
A dental practice whose homepage shows the next three open appointments, read live from its own diary.
Forsalons, clinics, restaurants and driving schools
I build marketing sites with real booking, enquiry and admin tools for salons, clinics, restaurants and trades — so the owner can change their own prices, hours and staff without paying anyone to do it.
The sites moving behind this text are demonstration builds — real code, invented businesses. Every one of them is open below.
Selected work
Each of these is a demonstration build for a business that does not exist — invented so I could solve a real problem end to end rather than dress up a template. They run on the same system and share no palette, typeface or layout, and each one does something the others do not.
What a build includes
Prices, opening hours, staff, services, photographs. An admin area you sign into, not an email to me. This is the difference between a site that stays right and one that quietly goes stale.
A real one, matched to how the business actually works — appointment slots for a clinic, package enquiries for a course, catering requests for a kitchen. Not a contact form with a subject dropdown.
Structured data so search engines know the business is real and where it is, images that load quickly, and pages that work on a five-year-old phone.
Keyboard navigation, visible focus, real contrast, and animation that stops for anyone who has asked their device for less of it.
What it costs
Every band is a fixed quote agreed before I start, not an hourly rate. What moves you up is how much the site has to do — not how many pages it has.
$399and up
A business whose website needs to say what it does, where it is, and how to reach you — and then get out of the way.
$899and up
A business whose prices, hours, staff or services change — and who should not have to pay someone every time they do.
$1,800and up
A business that takes appointments, courses or orders, and is currently taking them by phone during the hours its customers are also at work.
Not sure which one you are? That is what the first conversation is for, and it costs nothing. I quote before starting, not after.
How it works
What the business does, who it serves, and what the website has to achieve. Half an hour, no charge.
I write the structure and the copy from that conversation, and build the identity around your photographs and colours.
You see it on a real address and use it yourself before anything goes live.
Deployed with your domain, and a walk through the admin area so you can run it.
A build covers all four steps — the writing, the design, the admin area and going live. What it costs is agreed before step two, and does not move after.
Who you are hiring

I build websites for small businesses in Toronto — salons, clinics, restaurants, driving schools. It is me who takes the call, me who writes the pages, and me who builds the thing. There is no account manager, and nothing gets passed to someone you have not spoken to.
The builds on this page are demonstration sites for businesses I invented, so that I could solve a real problem end to end instead of showing you a template with a different logo on it. They are complete and working: you can open the booking flow on the dental practice and use it right now.
What I care about is the part most websites skip — that the owner can run it afterwards. A site you have to pay someone to change is a site that quietly goes stale, and the version of it that is still quoting last year's prices in July is not a website, it is a liability.
Questions
You do — the domain, the content, the photographs and the code. It is registered in your name and deployed to your own hosting account, so you are never locked to me. If you want to move it or hand it to somebody else later, there is nothing to unpick.
The domain is about $20 a year. Hosting for a site this size is free on the plans I deploy to, and stays free at the traffic a local business gets — you would have to be doing serious volume before it costs anything. There is no monthly fee to me, and no subscription you have to keep paying to keep the site up.
Two to four weeks for most builds, from the first conversation to going live. The part that decides it is usually content — photographs, prices, the details only you know. The build itself is rarely what holds things up.
Anything the admin area covers — prices, hours, staff, services, photographs — you change yourself, immediately, at no cost. That is most of what people actually want to change. For anything structural, a new page or a new feature, I quote it before starting.
I write the first draft from our conversation, and you correct it. You know the business and I know what a page has to do — that split gets there faster than either of us working alone, and you are never handed a blank document to fill in.
It is the most common one, and it is solvable. Phone photographs taken in decent light are usually better than stock images, because they are actually your premises. I will tell you what to shoot and how, and design around what you have.
They are demonstration builds — invented so I could solve a real problem end to end rather than dress up a template, and labelled as invented everywhere they appear. They are complete, working sites you can use right now, which is the point: you can go and try the booking flow rather than take my word for it.
Half an hour on the phone, and whatever you already have — a logo, photographs, your current prices. Nothing needs to be tidy. Call 416-580-3324 or send a message and I will tell you what I would build and what it would cost before you commit to anything.
